How Many Lights Does Your Christmas Tree Really Need?
Share
A common rule of thumb is around 100 lights for every 30cm (1 foot) of tree height if you want a fully lit, glowing look. But the right number really depends on the style you are after, so here is how the light counts on our own trees stack up.
1.8m Trees: 1980 LEDs
At the 1.8 metre size, our Twinkle tree comes with 1980 LEDs, which is a generous count for this height and gives a properly bright, dense glow rather than a scattering of lights.

2.1m Trees: Up to 3000 LEDs
At 2.1 metres, light counts vary a lot between trees. Our Dasher tree packs in 3000 LEDs for a dense, bright finish, while trees built around "tips" rather than light count, like the Prestigious, focus more on branch fullness for ornament hanging.

2.4m Trees: Up to 3190 LEDs
Our biggest tree, the Enchanted, leads the range at 3190 warm white LEDs across 2.4 metres, which is enough to light the tree evenly from trunk to tip without needing any extra string lights added.
