Snow-Flocked Christmas Tree

Snow-Flocked Christmas Trees: Bringing a White Christmas Indoors

As the Aussie summer heats up outside, it can be hard to picture a frosty white Christmas. Snow-flocked trees bring that winter wonderland look indoors, with branches dusted in a snow-like coating that catches the light beautifully after dark. Whether you're after a fully pre-lit showstopper or a classic unlit tree you can dress yourself, there's a snow-flocked option to suit every home, ceiling height, and budget.

Why Choose a Snow-Flocked Christmas Tree?

Snow-flocked trees have become one of the most popular styles in Australia — and it makes sense. When you're celebrating Christmas in 35-degree heat, there's something magical about walking into a room and seeing a tree dusted in white. The flocking adds texture and depth that plain green trees simply can't match, and it means the tree looks stunning even before you add a single ornament. The white tips also reflect light beautifully, making your fairy lights glow warmer and brighter.

They're also incredibly versatile. A snow Christmas tree works with almost any colour palette silver and white for a classic winter look, warm gold and red for a traditional feel, blush and rose gold for something more modern, or even bold jewel tones for a dramatic statement. If you've ever struggled to make your decorations feel cohesive, a snow-flocked tree does a lot of the heavy lifting for you.

Our Full Range of Snow-Flocked Christmas Trees

We stock snow-flocked trees across a wide range of sizes, brands, and price points. Here's a breakdown of what's available:

Christabelle Snow-Tipped Trees (Unlit)

The Christabelle snow-tipped range is a favourite for those who like to choose their own lights. With a higher tip count than most trees at this price point, they have a full, lush look that holds ornaments beautifully.

Christabelle Pre-Lit Snow-Tipped Trees (with Pine Cones)

These trees come with warm LED lights built in and feature rustic pine cone detailing for an extra layer of texture. Hinged branches make assembly quick and easy.

Jingle Jollys Snow-Flocked Trees

Jingle Jollys trees offer excellent value and come in both pre-lit and unlit styles. All are non-toxic, odour-free, and easy to assemble without tools.

Santaco Snow-Flocked Trees (with Ornaments Included)

The Santaco range is perfect if you want everything in one box. These trees come with a full ornament set including baubles, snowflakes, bowknots, a star topper, and LED fairy lights — so you can have a fully decorated tree straight out of the box.

Home Ready Snowy Trees (with Pine Cones)

How to Style a Snow-Flocked Tree

One of the best things about a snow-flocked tree is how little effort it takes to look incredible. The white tips do most of the work — but here are a few styling tips to take it to the next level:

  • Warm white lights are the go-to for snow-flocked trees. They create a cosy, candlelit glow that makes the white flocking look even more magical. If your tree isn't pre-lit, opt for warm white LEDs rather than cool white or multicolour.
  • Silver and white ornaments create a clean, elegant look that lets the tree itself be the star. Add a few mirrored or glass baubles to catch the light.
  • Gold and champagne tones pair beautifully with the white flocking for a warm, luxurious feel. Think gold stars, champagne ribbon, and amber-toned lights.
  • Blush and rose gold is a modern favourite — soft pink baubles and copper accents against a snowy tree look stunning in contemporary homes.
  • Fluff the branches well before decorating. Most artificial trees need a good 15–20 minutes of branch-shaping to achieve that full, natural look. Start from the bottom and work your way up.
  • Layer your decorations — push some ornaments deeper into the tree and hang others at the tips. This creates depth and makes the tree look more realistic.

Which Size Is Right for Your Space?

As a general guide: a 1.8m (6ft) tree suits apartments, bedrooms, or rooms with standard 2.4m ceilings. A 2.1m (7ft) tree is the most popular size for main living areas and looks great in rooms with 2.7m ceilings. A 2.4m (8ft) tree makes a real statement and works well in open-plan spaces or rooms with high ceilings. If you're lucky enough to have a double-height entry or a large open living area, a 2.7m (9ft) tree is absolutely breathtaking.

Always measure your ceiling height and leave at least 30cm clearance for a star or angel topper.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the snow flocking safe for kids and pets?

Yes — all of the snow-flocked trees we stock are made with non-toxic, odour-free materials and are EN71 and RoHS compliant. The flocking is applied to the branch tips and won't shed or flake off under normal use. That said, we always recommend keeping curious toddlers and pets supervised around any Christmas tree.

Will the snow flocking fall off or make a mess?

The flocking on our trees is designed to stay put. Unlike DIY snow spray, the factory-applied flocking on these trees is bonded to the branch tips and won't shed onto your floor or furniture with normal handling. You may notice a tiny amount of residue when first unboxing — a quick shake outside before bringing the tree in takes care of that.

Do I need to add lights, or do the trees come pre-lit?

Both options are available. Our Christabelle Pre-Lit, Jingle Jollys LED, and Santaco ranges all come with built-in warm white LED lights. The Christabelle Snow-Tipped (unlit), Jingle Jollys unlit, and Home Ready ranges don't include lights, giving you the freedom to choose your own style and colour. If you're unsure, pre-lit is the easier option — no tangling, no extra cost, and the lights are perfectly distributed through the branches.

How long does it take to set up?

Most of our snow-flocked trees take around 20–30 minutes to assemble. They come in sections that slot together easily — no tools required. The main time investment is fluffing and shaping the branches, which is worth doing properly to get that full, lush look. Hinged branch trees (like the Christabelle range) are particularly quick to set up as the branches fold out automatically.

Can I use a snow-flocked tree outdoors or on a covered patio?

Our snow-flocked trees are designed for indoor use. While a covered patio away from direct rain might be okay for short periods, prolonged exposure to moisture, humidity, or direct sunlight can affect the flocking and the PVC branches over time. For the best longevity, keep your tree indoors or in a sheltered, dry space.

How do I store a snow-flocked tree after Christmas?

Disassemble the tree in reverse order — top section first, then middle, then base. Fold the branches back in and store the sections in the original box or a dedicated tree storage bag. Keep it somewhere dry and away from direct sunlight. Stored properly, a quality artificial tree will last 10+ years.

What's the difference between "snow-flocked" and "snow-tipped"?

Snow-tipped trees have white colouring applied just to the very ends of the branch tips, giving a subtle frosted effect. Snow-flocked trees have a heavier white coating applied more broadly across the branches, creating a more dramatic, snow-laden look. Both styles are beautiful — snow-tipped tends to look more delicate and natural, while snow-flocked makes more of a statement.

Which tree is best value for money?

It depends on what you're after. For a complete out-of-the-box setup, the Santaco 1.8m or 2.1m trees include lights and a full ornament set, so there's nothing else to buy. For quality and tip density, the Christabelle 2.1m Snow-Tipped is hard to beat at $308.95. And if you want a pre-lit tree with multiple lighting modes at a great price, the Jingle Jollys 1.8m with 8 light modes at $219.95 is excellent value.

Do you ship Australia-wide?

Yes! We ship snow-flocked Christmas trees to all states and territories across Australia. Order early to avoid the Christmas rush — our most popular sizes sell out quickly as December approaches.
